^{LITTLE GIRLS LEAD A "PRINCESS PROCESSIONAL" DOWN MAIN STREET TO CELEBRATE TODAY'S VIDEO RELEASE OF CINDERELLA II: DREAMS COME TRUE}

The Magic Kingdom was a true fairy tale setting today as 100 special little girls became Cinderella for the day. The girls, ranging from age 5 to 11 years old, had this once-in-a-lifetime chance to dress up as Cinderella and meet the real Cinderella at her castle at Walt Disney World. The 100 little princesses, all wearing gowns and tiaras, led a very special Princess Processional down Main Street, U.S.A. Ten of the little Cinderellas won the chance to take part in today's activities as grand-prize winners in a Disney Store contest. The girls were selected from thousands of entries around the country to take part in this special Cinderella Princess Day.

The Cinderella Princess Processional coincides with today's release of CINDERELLA II: DREAMS COME TRUE, the all-new, full-length animated movie. Families will finally get to see what happens after "happily ever after" when Cinderella and her prince return from their honeymoon. With the help of the loveable Fairy Godmother and those mischievous mice, Cinderella is reminded that happiness and success can only happen if you are true to yourself.

CINDERELLA II: DREAMS COME TRUE is available starting today (February 26th) on DVD and VHS.

Second "Walt With" Pixie Pin
The second pin will be the same as the pin given out with the MK package. Except right now if you were to hold the MK pin with the pin from DTD, you would see they are different in quality and weight. Disney is simply going to match the quality of the first pin given at DTD. So that all the pins in that series match properly.

Princess Ball Pin Event
The princess ball event took place today at MK at WDW. Rain did hamper the day but not all the pin trading spirits. A surprise pin, Tinker Bell with pixie dust was released. This pin sold for $10.50, it is not marked Limited on back but I was told only 1000 were made and no further pins will be made.

This Lanyard was given to people who paid for the event package. The back of the medallion has Aladdin and says LE 1000.

All people who paid for the event package will be getting via mail another "Walt With" pin. WDW pin people were not happy with the way the "Walt With" Tink pin came out. This is pin we received today.

 

  Evil Queen pin was still for sale at 3pm at Expo Hall.

Celebrate Culture Event
Here are more dates for Celebrate Culture events. On Feb. 22-24 you will be able to see these Culture events at AK. Feb.22 visit India. Feb.23, visit Indonesia and on Feb.24th visit Thailand. These 3 countries in 3 days celebration of different Asian cultures. The India pin will be released on Feb.22, Indonesia released on Feb.23 and Thailand will be released on Feb 24. These pin will be for sale at Mandala Gifts (Asia Area) at Animal Kingdom. These pins are open edition and selling for $10.50
  
Disney's Animal Kingdom will be Celebrating African Culture March 8-10.On March 8, visit Botswana. March 9 visit Kenya and March 10 visit South Africa. These 3 countries in 3 days celebration of different African cultures. Sample authentic foods and enjoy unique entertainment. These events should have a pin for each Asian&African country.

There will also be a Zimbabwe Pin.

Passholder Pin & Passholder News
Walt Disney World has released the second in the series of Passholder pins. This pin on pin design features Leonardo Columbus from the Tapestry of Dreams Parade. This pin is available  at Expo Hall at Magic Kingdom, Pin Central at Epcot, Island Mercantile at Animal Kingdom and Sorcerer's Hat at Disney-MGM studios. All you need to do is show your valid Passholder ID. This pin will sell for $8.50.

This pin is a LE 2000 and was released on Friday Feb. 15 at Disney-MGM Sorcerer's Hat. It sold for $8.50

Return To Neverland Pins
As sometimes happens the open edition pins scheduled for release on Feb.15 showed up a little early in a few locations. We found 2 more pins besides the 11 already previewed on here. All core pins will sell for $6.50 except the Capt. Hook and octopus $12.50 (2 pins) and the Pirate Power pin which sells for $8.50.

 
There are 11 new open edition pins were released on Feb.15th the same day the movie is being released. These pins will be property wide.

You will find the #2 cast ID tag pin at this event along with a few #1 ID tags left from the Cast Blast. You will find games and many special cast surprises. This event is for cast only, sorry folks, but we get the Princess Ball Event.

Downtown Disney Marketplace has announced it will be the site for the largest
pin-trading center at WDW. The site, to be located in the Captain's Tower,
will feature a wide array of Disney pins and most major limited-edition
releases. This ultimate pin-trading headquarters opens in July.

Disney Institute Pin With Strange Backstamp
As we have heard the Disney Institute at WDW will be undergoing some major changes. Now this pin bought on 1/29/02 is the Institute pin and has the official pin trading 2002 backstamp but also has the DCL backstamp. Now the pin on far right was bought on 2/5/02 and has yet another Disney Cruise line backstamp. Both of these pins were found at MK Main Street Pin Cart.

New Mickey 3-D Film Slated For Magic Kingdom
Disney magic and music will meet in a new 3-D film spectacular debuting in
2003 at the Magic Kingdom Park. In the attraction, "Mickey's PhilharMagic" will star Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and other Disney characters animated in 3-D for the first time. "We're really excited about this new attraction," said Al Weiss, president of Walt Disney World. "Guests love the Disney characters and films, and this gives them the chance to take a magical ride right into the world of Disney animation."
The "Mickey's PhilharMagic" cast will include Mickey and Donald, as well as
Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Jasmine from Aladdin and Simba
from The Lion King. This attraction will replace "Legend of the Lion King" in Fantasyland. Set in the PhilharMagic Concert Hall, the 3-D experience, complete with in-theater effects, will unfold on one of the largest screens ever created for a 3-D film, a 150-foot-wide canvas.
The Walt Disney Company has experimented with animating the Disney
characters in 3-D before, most notably in "Working for Peanuts," a 1953
Donald Duck and Chip 'n' Dale cartoon short, but never on a scale as grand
as "Mickey's PhilharMagic." The attraction is being produced through the
combined efforts of Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Feature
Animation.
"We're always exploring ways to take 3-D to the next level," said Tom
Fitzgerald, executive vice president and senior creative executive at Walt
Disney Imagineering. "From 'Jim Henson's Muppet*Vision 3D' to 'Honey, I
Shrunk the Audience' to 'It's Tough to be a Bug!,' we keep looking for new
ways to allow guests to become a part of the action and story  'Mickey's
PhilharMagic' will be the most animated, energetic and magical 3-D show
we've ever created."

Released at the Disney Gateway Store at the Gaylord Palms Resort. LE 2000 and sold for $8.50. This new WDW Disney Store is located at the new Opryland Hotel just outside Disney Property in Orlando. This store is a WDW retail store like ones found at Orlando Airport.
