Report on the event:

The evening started cloudy and looked like rain but Disney must have paid the "GOOD WEATHER" bill since it never rained a drop. As we gathered at the entrance of Animal Kingdom and were greeted by a very appropriate sign and a short line of people waiting to register and get our logo fanny pack, special LE 500 CTT pin and our "Walt With "pin and pin pursuit map and completer map. We were also told we could buy 1 set of the pin pursuit pins since alot of people were leaving the next morning. We were also told that 100 of the 200 pewter eggs would have to be shipped to the people who received them.



 

As we waited to enter to start our adventure deep into Dino-O-Rama for the Pin-O-Rama event, there were just a few people shy of 500 waiting with us. Disney had a pin trading area set up with complimentary water. An announcement was made that in just a few minutes we would be entering AK to start this event. They also asked us to play a game and the winner would win a Limited edition cast DCA opening pin set.. Well what a way to start off the night.

As we walked in standing on the planters greeting us was Jim G., Jim "The Pin Man" and ST Mike.

Cast members were around guiding us to a special showing of Tarzan Rocks. I was able to get a picture of this group of many of the great people who played a big part in tonight.

 As we sat inside Tarzan Rocks, we were introduced to Chester and Hester Diggs, owners of Dino-O-Rama and asked us if were were ready for a fun filled night. Then they said we would start the evening by watching Tarzan Rocks. Now if you have never see this make sure to see this show on your next trip to Animal Kingdom.

When this show was over we all were asked to go into the Dino-O-Rama area where we could play games with the vouchers Disney gave us. Well look who also was in attendance Theodore P. Trader and wouldn't you know it he spotted one of the MANY pin prizes you could win playing some of these games. Yes that's a Mickey for President but look at some of the other great pin prizes they had.

Well let me tell you after Theodore saw what he could win he asked Aunt Pati which he had not see since the Disneyana 2001 event to help him play a few games and ride a couple rides. Theodore event got his picture with Goofy.

When we left the Dino Rama area Disney had more food in every area than you could eat in a week. Also Martha Widener was signing pins on the porch where also we could see up coming releases from WDW and DL/DCA.
We had gotten a wristband so we could go to the "Big Dig" and dig for eggs which had some awesome Limited pins in them. I heard of a person getting a LE 10 Artist proof pin, others got the survey pin from Disneyana 2001 and many many other great pins. We went to the "Last Chance Sale" were you could buy some of the left over merchandise and get all of our pre purchased pins.
Also we were able to ask questions of Disney artists for a 20 minutes.
Now if this wasn't enough Disney's Animal Kingdom just for the Pin-O-Rama did the first ever fireworks show inside AK.. yes that's right this had never been done before.

Now as I was walking out I noticed Supertrader Mike and it seems he had been deformed and had something growing out of his stomach..

With all the people I spoke to,  most said this event was fantastic, the one problem it wasn't long enough in time to enjoy all the great experiences Disney provided us.

I would like to thank WDW Pin Team, WDW Special Events, Animal Kingdom Special events, all the Cast members and all of the back stage people who put on this once in a lifetime event GREAT JOB! !
This was an expensive event but in this reporters eyes and many people I spoke to it was well worth every penny.

Disney has told me that there will be a trading area near the front entrance for guests who arrive prior to the start of the event or who are at AK prior to the start of the event. All guests MUST exit the park before the start of the event.
Package guests who booked through Special Events with rooms at Coronado Springs and Lodge will have dedicated transportation for event. All other guests who are not on that package will have to find alternate transportation.
