Theodore P. Trader's Osborne Adventure 2001
Hi all, it feels so good to be back telling you all about my adventures. Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you enjoy.

It started out as any morning would for me.  I woke up had my breakfast and decided to look at the many pins I have collected the past year.  As I was admiring my collection, Larry came into the room.  He asked, "What are you doing Theodore?"  I told him that I was counting my pins.  Larry then asked, "Well would you like to go to Walt Disney World today and admire a lot more pins?" I said, "Would I?  You know that's my favorite thing to do!"  "Well," Larry said, "you must wear this special shirt I have for you.  I looked at it and it looked kind of Christmassy, but I knew it wasn't Christmas yet.

As we were driving Larry was telling me about our day.  He said that we would be doing something very special much later, that he knew I would just enjoy.  I kept asking him what and all he could say was..........you'll see.

As we arrived at Epcot's Pin Central, I saw a lot of familiar faces Amy, Linda, Jim and many others. They were all glad to see me.  They also kept asking me if I was ready for my special tonight.  I still couldn't figure out what everyone was talking about and again all Larry could say was........you'll see, with a smile and a wink.  I said as long as pins are involved, I'm sure that I will like it.

As the day went on, Larry asked me if I was ready.  I said, "Ready for what?"  Then I asked, "Is it....you'll see time?" and Larry said, "Yes!"  Oh boy, I could hardly wait!

As we were driving to someplace different, I noticed some familiar sights.  I saw this big hat that looks like the one Mickey wears when he wants to be a magician. It's a big word, I just can't remember it.

There were lots and lots of people there.  It was so crowded that I had to hold tight to Larry's hand.  All of a sudden I realized where we were!  I asked Larry, "Is this the place we saw all those pretty lights and some kind of white stuff last year." "You mean snow," Larry asked.  Oh yes, now I remember all of this!  Larry took me to see the Osborne lights last year when I was a baby.  But wait a minute I said, "Will there be pins too?"  Larry laughed and said, "Yes, Theodore, there will be a pin.  Would you like to see what it looks like?"  "Oh yes!" I said.  "Well, let's go get in line so that we can see it and if you're a good bear, I may just buy one for you too," he said.

The pin was one of the best pins I have seen by far........it's Mickey Mouse with reindeer.  I will be adding this one to my lanyard.  This one is a keeper for me!

After we got our pins, we walked around New York Street at Disney-MGM.  There was Mickey standing there all dressed up.  Lots of Christmas carols were being sung and then there was magic........it started snowing!!  It was so funny to see snow since we live in Florida, but when you are at Disney everything turns to magic.  I wanted to stick my tongue out to taste the snow, but Larry had to remind me it wasn't real snow.  All of a sudden these lights were lit up!  I couldn't believe my tiny bear eyes.  They were so pretty........in so many different colors!  Larry told me that there were 5 million lights, that's to many lights for a little bear like me to count.  Good ole Mickey, he was working his magic again!!  All the lights were twinkling just like the stars in the sky.

We enjoyed having some hot cider and hot chocolate.  There were also Christmas cookies to enjoy.  Just the thing any little bear would like to fill their tummy with.........mmmmmmm they were so delicious and in the shapes of Christmas stars and bells.  It certainly was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

We saw so many things............snowmen, drummer boys, penguins, stars and angels. Whew.......so much for a small bear to remember.  Why we even saw Goofy dressed up as Santa along with his buddy Pluto with silly reindeer antlers on.  Goofy looked so silly dressed up like that.........I sure hope the real Santa doesn't mind.  I asked Larry if he could take my picture with Goofy.  He said, "Sure." I have to admit, I still was the best looking bear there.

Larry told me there was 2 more pins to come out for the Osborne Spectacle of Lights, so I guess we will have to come back again.

As we were walking out, I told Larry that I remembered one more thing from last year. Wasn't it Mickey's birthday too?  Larry said, " Yes it was and Mickey's birthday was this Sunday."  Hmmmmmmmmm, I wondered, "Will there be pins for that too?"

As we were driving home, I fell fast asleep.  I dreamt that maybe next year I could share this with a little brother.  Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Love Theodore
