Super Bowl Champs Will Try
To Get The Disney Magic Again
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced
that they have signed a contract to conduct their 2003 training camp at Disney's
Wide World of Sports Complex. The Buccaneers, who trained at Disney's 200-acre
sports complex for the first time in 2002, were the first NFL team to conduct
training camp at Walt Disney World Resort.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to return to Disney again this summer,"
said Buccaneers Executive Vice President Joel Glazer. "Our first-rate experience
last year began a season that we will never forget and we are eager to come back
to one of the nation's foremost facilities."
The Buccaneers are tentatively scheduled to report to Orlando on Friday, July
18, with workouts set to begin at the complex on Saturday, July 19. Training
camp is expected to conclude on Friday, August 15. Tampa Bay will open its
preseason schedule on Saturday, August 2 against the New York Jets in the
American Bowl in Tokyo, Japan. All dates are subject to change.
While Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex has a daily admission for its
events, Buccaneer practices at training camp will be free to all fans and open
to the public.

Global Musical Styles In World Music Concert Series June 13-Sept. 1
Bering Strait, the Grammy-nominated
Russian group that recently made a big splash in country and bluegrass music,
will kick off the lineup of global performers for the Epcot World Music Concert
Series June 13-Sept. 1 at Walt Disney World Resort.
The series will be a feast for the senses featuring musical acts with influences
from all parts of the globe. Epcot guests will enjoy musicians from Russia,
Africa, Europe, Canada, Brazil and Australia.
"This exciting and unique musical series is a blending of the cultures through
the fusion of music," said Angie Howard, show producer for the concert series.
"We believe Epcot guests will enjoy performances from each of these groups. They
intertwine cultures by fusing traditional grooves with modern vibes."
Popular international touring groups will perform each Tuesday-Sunday, with a
resident Epcot World Showcase performing group taking the stage each Monday
during the event. Performances will take place each day at 5:45, 7 and 8:15 p.m.
on the America Gardens Theatre stage in Epcot World Showcase.
The lineup of touring groups includes:
Bering Strait (June 13-29) -- Raised in Russia, this Grammy nominated group
features six young performers who have since become the talk of Music City in
Nashville, Tenn. Born the children of scientists and engineers from a Soviet
city, they have performed at the legendary Grand Ole Opry, released their first
CD and have been the subject of a full-length, film documentary called The
Ballad of Bering Strait.

Richard Wood (July 1-13) -- Hailing from Prince Edward Island, Canada, Wood is a
young, fiddling dynamo that combines fiddling virtuosity with outstanding
showmanship. He entertains audiences with innovative approaches to folklore
types of sounds such as the traditional Celtic jigs and reels.

Brother (July 15-27) -- This Australian band recently opened for the hit rock
group Pearl Jam. They have a quite astounding sound and will get Epcot guests
into a groovy mood with various guitar riffs and out-there indigenous
instrumentation.

Baka Beyond (July 29-Aug. 10) -- Known as the original African Celtic crossover
band, Baka Beyond includes musicians from six countries in the Celtic fringes of
Europe and the west coast of Africa. With songs imported from the African
rainforest via Brittany, Cornwall and the Outer Hebrides, this band enchants
audiences with its beautiful harmonies and melodic rhythms.

Mestre Ambrósio (Aug. 12-24) -- These Brazilian musicians delight audiences with

span from rock to traditional Brazilian music resulting in urban rhythms with a
rural feeling.

West African pop group Wassalou combine ancient and modern styles to create a
fusion of cultural music.

respective performance venues in the Morocco and Canada pavilions in Epcot World
Showcase, these popular groups will highlight their unique musical influences
from around the world.
