This LE 3500 went for sale on April 1 at these locations: All-Star Resorts, Contemporary Resort, Boardwalk Resort, Island Mercantile, World of Disney, Exposition Hall, Pin Central, and Sorcerer's Hat. It sold for $10.50. The April fools joke is the book doesn't open.

Primeval Whirl Opening Pin
This LE 2000 pin will go for sale on March 31and sell for $10.50. It will sell at
  the cart in Dino-Rama! at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
This pin has movement, Mickey spins all through this exciting new attraction.

 This April 25, 2002, we will be hosting a Cast Pin Party at Disney's Animal Kingdom from 8am to 2pm in the lot adjacent to the Cast Services Building at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The 2002 Easter Character Pin Hunt
On March 30 we got ready to do the Easter Character Pin Hunt. These pins are all LE 1500. You could find 7 different pins at 7 different locations at WDW. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM, Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney, and 2 of the resorts Caribbean Beach and Allstar Movies. All pins were sold at 1 location within that park or resort and will be released upon open of that park or resort. Each pin sold for $8.50.


Also Chip & Dale in bunny suits were released at DTD

Starwars Weekend at Disney-MGM
During the weekend that the new Star Wars movie opens, May 17-19 Disney-MGM Studios will celebrate the film's opening with additional Star Wars characters in the park, limited edition pins (3) and more Star Wars characters in the daily parade.

24th Fastpass Attraction

Primeval Whirl is the 24th Disney's FASTPASS attraction at Walt Disney World Resort. The FASTPASS system allows guests to bypass the actual line and better plan their day in the four theme parks. Disney's FASTPASS is free and available to all guests with a valid theme park pass.
Disney's Animal Kingdom launches a dino-mite new attraction with the opening of Primeval Whirl in Dinoland U.S.A. This spinning coaster takes guest on a topsy-turvy journey with zany dinosaurs and fiery asteroids. The coaster opens as part of the Walt Disney World 100 Years of Magic celebration.

Opening Night
Here are a few pictures of the Grand Opening Night of Disney's Friday Night Pin Meet. It all started at 7 pm when Pluto came out to cut the ribbon to officially open tonight's festivities. Jim Greene made an announcement welcoming all and telling us about a couple new rules and also telling us the biggest new rule HAVE FUN. As Pluto and Tony (a small boy) cut the ribbon Jim Greene announced a LE 2500 Wanna Trade Pooh pin would be for sale tonight selling for $8.50. This pooh Wanna Trade pin is the first in a series of the 100 acres woods wanna trade series.

 Disney's Friday Night Pin Meet at Contemporary Resort
Lets not forget this Grand opening .

Launching Friday, March 22, 2002, Disney is pleased to announce Mickey's Pin Trading Nights each and every Friday evening at Disney's Contemporary Resort from 7pm - 10pm. Disney invites all Disney pin traders young and old, veterans and those just starting out, to come out and meet other Disney Pin Traders in a good'ole fashion trade meet. Disney Pin Traders have met on their own regularly to trade pins, share stories and mingle amongst other enthusiasts in the past, but Disney will add some more fun.
Disney will have a "Kids Under 14 Trading Zone" where only kids will be allowed to trade with other kids and Cast Members. Say bye to Mom and Dad and join Disney in the Kids only area and discover that hard to find pin or just make a new pin trading friend. Also, we'll have a resident Disney Pin Trading Expert to assist guests in their pin trading knowledge as they make their trades. Disney will have additional tables and chairs set up to accommodate our Pin Trading guests.

Dizneypins.com will be attending this event and will have a LATE update to report on it.

Surprises at Disney-MGM "On With The Pin Show" 
Today a few surprises happened at this pin event. First an announcement said " Although the premier of these limited edition pins was broadcasted a LE 1500 we are pleased to present the following pins debuting at LE 1000"

Then a second announcement came telling us "Due to a busy production schedule, Quasimodo and Indiana Jones may not appear in your order. If they do not appear, it will be our pleasure to mail them to you within the next 2 weeks.

Indy was marked LE 1500

The "Walt With" pin came in a film canister.

The LE 3500 Artists choice pin which both glows in the dark and Mary Poppin's slides up and down.

The map which you went around and got stamped and you received this pin. Marks on back Limited Edition 2000.

The event was held two weeks ago. The four day event, two for dealers only and two for the public, introduced Disney's new Art Classics licensee for
distribution...Animated Animation. The pin has their name and LE1000 on
the reverse.

To insure a great experience for all our guests, we will have some additional trading guidelines in additional to our regular pin trading guidelines. Guests will be asked to only bring in 1 pin trading bag per guest. All pin trading bags must be in the possession of the pin trading guest at all times. All pin trades must be a one pin for one pin exchange. If you have a super rare pin you are looking to get several pins for, leave that one home for this night of trading. All guests should follow our established pin trading etiquette at all times.
We are looking forward to kicking off a whole new Disney Pin Trading experience, Mickey's Pin Trading Nights, starting this March 22, 2002 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Hope to see you there!
